Liz Thorp is an experienced Senior Creative Director and Designer. Acknowledged as a strong arts and design professional, Liz has a demonstrated history of providing premium quality creative design work for the luxury and fine art industry.
She commenced her career working with leading design agencies Archigrafia and Business Design Group; then joined the global luxury brand Sotheby’s.
As Creative Director of Sothebys London, Europe, the Middle East, India and Russia, she was overseeing and designing 6000 multi-disciplinary design projects a year.
During her 32 year tenure at Sotheby’s Liz designed and directed creative for many magnificent works of art and major collections. As a huge David Bowie fan a career highlight was to provide design direction for all creative elements of the Bowie/ Collector auction. The sale was a phenomenal success, a “White Glove” sale – meaning that all 356 lots sold. The creative campaign was extensive, with events across the globe, including the first ever 24 hour exhibition in London.
In 2020 Liz left Sotheby’s to launch Liz Thorp Design. Since then the company has created outstanding design work for its clients in various media. From small social media icons to printed two volume luxury catalogues.
A creative and strategic thinker, Liz exercises versatility and creativity across the full breadth of the creative process – from concept, design and visualisation to production management, practical implementation and execution/delivery.
Her breadth of experience means she is skilled in delivering high quality design across all channels, whether it be print, digital or environmental. She enjoys collaborating with her clients to provide solutions that answer their creative requirements.
Liz is committed to help businesses of any size communicate effectively with their clients. She provides design and project management for all kinds of business activity: presentations and proposals, event and other marketing collateral, books and catalogues, outdoor and print advertising, packaging, corporate identity, logos, stationery, E-commerce, email marketing, geo-targeted display ads, retargeting campaigns, websites and social media assets.
